Electronic Office Management (EOM) Support
EOM is a web-based application that office managers and delegates use to view and manage security and authorizations for their offices. Information that can be updated includes desk assignments, electronic signers, command authorizations, and document routing.
Add or Remove Employees from a Desk
Submit this survey if you need an employee added to or removed from a desk within the EOM System. Electronic desks and views determine which types of financial documents you can see and work on in DEFINE and Point Plus. This survey is most commonly used for new hires or current employees whose duties have changed.
Add or Remove Electronic Signers from a Master View
Submit this survey if your departmental signers need to be changed. NT1 signers approve inventory related documents (CCARTs). Please note EOM only allows eight electronic signers per document type, per master view.
Update Command Authorizations for a Desk/View Combination
Submit this survey if one of your department’s desks needs an additional DEFINE command opened. If you are attempting to use a DEFINE command but are not authorized for it in your current desk and view, please confirm you are using the correct desk/view combination before submitting this survey.

I received one of the following errors in DEFINE or Point Plus. How do I resolve this?
Your authorization is inadequate to access command XYZ.
You are not authorized to update command XYZ.
You are not authorized for any Accounts in this Budget Group.
You are not authorized for XYZ in your current desk and view.
This account is not in the view you are using.
User not authorized.
You may be using the incorrect desk and view. Electronic desks and views determine which types of financial documents you can see and work on in DEFINE and Point Plus. Follow these instructions to update your desk and view. If you’ve tried all the desks and views you have access to and continue receiving the same error, email ubs.eom@austin.utexas.edu for further troubleshooting. Please be sure to provide the account, budget group, or command you need access to as well as your UT EID.
