Who We Are

Business and Financial Services (BFS) provides financial and physical resource management in support of its clients for The University of Texas at Austin. It has three units: Accounting, Budget and Finance, and Procurement and Warehousing. Major services include financial reporting, budget management, procurement, payment vouchering services, and employee reimbursements. BFS functions as a shared services organization and is responsible for gathering information from departments and processing transactions in various University systems, as well as systems created and operated by University Business Services (UBS) such as UT Tracker (a payment request and processing management system) and UBS Financials (a Tableau-based financial reporting application).


Accounting Services
The Accounting team provides transactional support for clients for areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel and billing. They are also responsible for establishing and maintaining capital projects.

Budget and Finance
The Budget and Finance team processes budget related transactions as well as transaction management on behalf of our client departments. The team provides financial analysis and recommendations to assist client departments with efficient and strategic utilization of the University's financial resources. 

Procurement and Warehousing
The Procurement and Warehousing team provides warehousing and procurement services for over 1,400 employees in supported units.
