With cooler temperatures on the horizon, why not cozy up with a cup (or two) of orange-cinnamon apple cider? Warm up your winter with this sweet and simple recipe – it's easy to make and totally customizable to personal preference or whatever you have on-hand. Serves 2 - 4.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of unsweetened apple cider
- 1 orange
- 3 cinnamon sticks (plus additional for garnish)
Directions
- Add unsweetened apple cider to saucepan.
- Strain half an orange and add to cider. With remaining half, cut up a few pieces to add to pot. Slice and reserve remaining wedges for garnish. Feel free to add more fresh-squeezed orange juice, if preferred.
- Add three cinnamon sticks to pot. If you’re feeling adventurous, add additional spices (cinnamon, cloves, anise, the sky’s the limit) to the mix – completely optional!
- Simmer mixture on medium heat for 10-20 minutes.
- Strain and serve! Garnish with orange slice & cinnamon stick for festive flair.
