In this issue, the Gazette shines a spotlight on our fearless leader, Krista Hadavi. She’s been at UT Austin for more than 17 years; most of her time has been in various roles in Payroll Services, including as Director from 2019-2022. Krista worked in what is now eBITS during the Workday Implementation and has also worked on projects related to Change Starts Here, the university-wide strategic plan.

Krista is also a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Arizona State University. Additionally, she has a minor in dance performance.

When asked how she likes to spend her time outside of work, Krista said that she and her family can usually be found at the soccer fields. They are a true soccer family - her husband plays and coaches and both kids play as well. They are all fans of the Austin FC! When Krista isn’t shuttling around her kids, she is usually reading. Some of her favorite series include Outlander and Into the Wilderness, and she is currently making her way through the Chief Inspector Gamache and the Throne of Glass series.

In her new role, Krista is learning more about FAS Business Services, the clients supported, and the services offered. She’s proud to work for FBS as she believes the work done here truly keeps the University running! Welcome to FBS, Krista!
