Mission
University Business Services (UBS) publishes a bimonthly newsletter called the UBS Gazette. At a Quarterly Meeting in February 2020, the entire unit brainstormed ideas for what might make UBS more cohesive, which led to a unit-wide publication. Every issue includes a letter from the Assistant Vice President and an Employee Spotlight as well as interesting articles about UBS staff, projects, and committees. There is usually some non-work content, recognizing the value of a healthy work/life balance. The committee brings together diverse staff from all three UBS units: Business and Financial Services (BFS), Human Resources Support Services (HRSS), and Technology Resources (TRecs), plus central UBS. The UBS Gazette is a key part of the UBS communications strategy.
